National Park Image Gallery

The U.S. National Park System is known for its western crown jewels: Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, and so on. Many books about national parks exhibit a western bias, limiting their discussion to those few canonical parks, even though they make up only a fraction of the more than 400 parks in the system. My book certainly includes the great crown jewels, but it also features smaller historic sites, monuments, and memorials. Here is a sample of the diversity of America’s National Park System.
